ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Teacher is responsible for providing educational instruction, support and guidance to youthful offenders while monitoring all aspects of participation in educational programming.  The goal is to ensure that offenders adhere to program and societal rules while establishing a release plan supporting a crime free lifestyle.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The position requires a Bachelors degree in an appropriate field and OPI Endorsement in Math.  Candidates without a State of Montana, Secondary Science endorsement will not be considered.   

CONDITIONS OF WORK

Working conditions are inside in a climate-controlled environment with occasional background noise.  Occasional travel may be required. The Teacher works five (5), eight (8)-hour shifts per week.  Considerable documentation and paperwork requirements exist.  The successful candidate must be able to organize and manage time effectively and manage multiple tasks.    

STARTING SALARY

The starting salary is dependent upon experience.
