ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Shift Leader provides supervisory, security, transportation, recreation,  and maintenance services as required. It provides overall supervision and leader-worker direction to the Security Technician as directed by the Shift Supervisor and the Security Coordinator.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The position requires a Bachelors degree in an appropriate field  or High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years corrections experience and one year experience in a supervisory position.

CONDITIONS OF WORK
Working conditions are inside in a climate-controlled environment with occasional background noise. Occasional travel may be required. The Shift Leader works five (5), eight (8)-hour shifts per week ( 6 a.m. - 2 p.m.). Shift work, weekend and holiday work is likely. Days off are to be assigned. Considerable documentation and paperwork requirements exist. Shift Leaders must be able to organize and manage time effectively and manage multiple tasks.

 

STARTING SALARY
The salary is dependent upon experience.
